Ken Foster is passionate about finding and capturing interesting images from the Saanich Peninsula and the rest of the Island as his primary artistic focus, although he does take his camera off the Island as well. His artistic style is based on creating a finished product that creates some hesitation in the viewer as to whether the image is a photograph or a painting.
He has lived and worked on the Saanich Peninsula for almost 30 years. His roots on Vancouver Island reach back to the 1880s in the Comox Valley.
Ken maintains a Gallery Website at silverbear-studios.ca which contains a large selection of his images and a store site at kenfoster-photoart.com which sells locally produced images on canvas or as art cards. Signed and custom images are available by contacting the artist directly. There is also an option to shop online for a wide variety of products including prints, throw pillows, phone cases, etc at ken-foster.pixels.com. Some of his art cards and canvases can be purchased at Village Gallery on Beacon Ave. in Sidney, BC, Canada. He also has a significant display of his work on long-term loan at the Peninsula Medical Clinic on Bevan Avenue. These items are available for sale by contacting us.
SilverBear-Studios.ca is available to do informal or semi-formal photography of children, families, pets or events but does not do wedding photography or maintain a studio.
